Another rare Ferrari at auction

Friday 22nd November 2013
A 1964 Ferrari 250LM is unsurprisingly extremely rare and this one was auctioned at Sotheby's in Manhattan yesterday and busted the pre sale estimate by selling for $14.3m with 34 other vintage cars going under the hammer.

It was one example of only 32 such Ferrari 250 Le Mans Berlinetta ever built. Chassis number: 6107 boasts a 3.3-litre V-12 engine and Pininfarina body design. It finished first in class at the 1968 24 Hours of Daytona race, and has been under private ownership in Japan for the past 30 years.
