According to Alfa Romeo Automobilisimo Storico, the chassis number AR 1495.01617 originally corresponds to an Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider, manufactured on the 21st March 1957 and sold on the 6th April 1957 in Sanremo, Imperia, Italy.
Until 2012 this lovely Giulietta Spider spent it's life in Italy, it was then purchased by a Dutch man who imported it into The Netherlands. Shortly after arrival in Holland the decision was made to commence a meticulous restoration to the highest possible standards. Over the following three years every aspect of this car was returned to as new condition, both cosmetically and mechanically. The restoration was documented with literally hundreds of photographs charting all works carried out.
This lovely Giulietta was beautifully re trimmed internally, with a wonderful new mohair hood fitted to a fully refurbished and powder coated hood frame. In addition to this it also is supplied complete with an ultra rare perfectly restored Pininfarina steel hard-top.
On completion of the restoration Southwood purchased the Spider and supplied it to a good client whom we registered it for here in the UK. It has been used lightly since, mainly for attending events at Goodwood. Following a change in circumstances we were happy to bring this absolutely immaculate and period correct Spider back in stock.
We believe this is the best example available anywhere and we would be pleased to show it to serious interested parties as it would definitely enhance any car collection.
