According to Alfa Romeo Automobilisimo Storico, chassis number number AR 298488 originally corresponds to an Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT Veloce RHD (105.37), manufactured on the 21st September 1966 and sold on the 4th October 1966 in Nicosia, Cyprus.
This Sprint GT Veloce has spent it's entire life in the warm and dry climate of Nicosia in Cyprus, with just three owners there. Having spent it's life in a dry climate this example is highly original and shows no signs of welding or corrosion. It has been repainted during it's life so it presents beautifully.
Having imported this car into the UK we carried out an extensive and exhaustive preparation which includes -
New Eibach Springs all round.
New Koni Classic shock absorbers all round.
Front suspension rebuild replacing all track rod ends, bushes and ball joints.
Steering box removed and refurbished.
All flexible brake hoses replaced, callipers overhauled with brake pads replaced all round. (original Dunlop brakes)
Propshaft rebuild with replacement rear gearbox seal, new bushes, centre bearing and universal joints.
Removal of cylinder head, refaced, de-coked, new head gasket, upper gaskets and manifold gasket.
Heater matrix recored.
Rear suspension removed, rebushed, new axle straps and bump stops.
New brake master cylinder.
New hi torque starter motor.
Upgraded 123 electronic ignition distributor.
Full wax oil treatment.
The Sprint GT Veloce is a rare and highly sought after model especially in right hand drive, so one prepared to this level is a fantastic opportunity to those who understand these great cars.
