According to Alfa Romeo Automobilisimo Storico, chassis number AR 1206381 originally corresponds to an Alfa Romeo Giulia 1300 GT Junior, manufactured in 1966 and first registered in Parma, Italy on the 19th April 1967. Manufactured in bluette AR506 exterior paint with dark red skai interior.
Rare and sought after by collectors, the first series Giulia GT Junior has the lower rear wheel arch profile, early dashboard configuration, no servo brakes and the boot release on the passenger side.
This example is simply stunning with matching numbers and colours it is simply the best early GT we have ever seen. Manufactured in the rare AR506 Bluette colour, it has only had three Italian owners and had remained in the Bologna region throughout its life until we purchased it and brought it to the UK. What makes this car unique (other than the rare colour combination) is that it has never required welding and the entire body remains completely original in structure with perfect lines, sill profiles and doors that close effortlessly. Whilst it was the subject of an excellent quality repaint two years ago, the interior is completely original from the headlining, seats, door trims down to the original rubber mats throughout the car and in the boot area, all are amazingly preserved. The underside is completely detailed and in perfect condition and presents in the same flawless way as the visible bodywork.
At the same time as the cosmetic refresh the original engine, gearbox and differential were fully overhauled and all operate perfectly.
Completely original in everyway this GT Junior is an absolute delight on the road, smooth, quite, light and nimble it defies its age and feels like a new car but with all the benefits of the character that cannot be replicated, even with restoration, in the modern day. If you want the best, this is it.
