This amazing collector car example has covered 4776 kilometres (2960 miles) fully documented from new. This SZ had one Dutch owner who cherished the car, keeping it in his heated garage for 24 years, it has never seen rain and retains its original 1991 date stamped Pirelli P Zero tyres on its original Speedline alloy wheels. Southwood was extremely pleased to be able to purchase this remarkable example in 2015 with just 2447 kilometres covered. Having imported and registered it here in the UK, we supplied it to a collector who really appreciated the uniqueness of this Zagato.
As you would expect it is in immaculate condition and has a complete history file and all documentation to support the ultra-low odometer. These documents include, original dealer order form, all Dutch MOT certificates in addition to all instruction books, Zagato certificates, Dutch service invoices, shipping documents, UK import arrival notification and UK MOT certificates and UK service invoices.
Interestingly and also included in the history are photographs of the car in production taken when the first owner visited the Zagato factory to see his car being built.
Since arriving in the UK this SZ has benefitted from a great deal of care and attention by the leading SZ specialists Alfa Aid in Maidenhead. A full cam belt service was undertaken on arrival in the UK with every component throughout checked, many preventative maintenance precautions have been taken to ensure the car is in excellent mechanical order throughout and protected from the known faults that can occur on lesser cared for examples. It has received subsequent annual inspections and servicing by Alfa Aid and will be inspected and serviced by them before it leaves Southwood.
Unlike other examples purporting low odometer readings but devoid of paperwork to support their claims, this SZ No. 652 has indisputable documentation carefully preserved over 27 years since production and therefore provides a unique opportunity for the serious collector and appreciators of Zagato design.
Included with the car is a whole host of publications, brochures, road tests and magazine articles collected which demonstrate the passion behind these special motor cars.
